Hi everyone! We finally started on our trip today. It took us ten hours to get here to Ely, Nevada. During the trip we encountered "the loneliest road in America", passed by Basque, Oregon (which had a population of 10 people and a stockade for the local jail), saw lots of great cloud formations (including a heart!), visited Eureka, Nevada for some afternoon ice cream and slowly passed a huge herd of cattle that were in the middle of the road. We haven't been to any National Parks yet, but tomorrow we will be going to the Great Basin NP. We will explore Leaman Cave and hike out to a bristlecone forest and rock glacier! Keep cheeking in for more!
