Lake Yellowstone covered with snow & ice.
Hello! We are at Yellowstone now and having a great time! We first went to see all the geysers like Old Faithful and Beehive. It was all really awesome. There were some that shot up (like Old Faithful and Beehive) and some that had more of a tiolet effect (like Anemone). We saw a lot of other geothermal features like colorful hot springs, boiling pools, bubbling mudpots, hot spring terraces and lots of steam vents. As if that wasn't enough to keep us busy, we also got to see a lot of animals. They were everywhere! I was even surprised by a bison when I came face to face with it trying to get to the restrooms. That was a little scary! They are BIG! We didn't get to see any wolves or bear, but heard reports from people who did see them. That gives us a reason to return for a longer visit! My dad liked seeing the old lodges and maybe we will go back and stay in one. We are on to the Grand Tetons, our last park on this adventure. Keep checking back.
