Family Camping at Camp Sherman

Here we are around the campfire. My mom is taking the picture and my dad is sitting with us. For those of you that don't know, my parents come over to Oregon for the summers (so cool!), which means we have lots of fun times together. Also, my dad is doing very well after his kidney transplant last summer.
Praise the Lord!

Notice Mike's short hair from his trip. He got home on June 14th (Caitlin's last day of school) and by the 18th, we were off camping and to the beach (those pictures to come). How blessed we were that he had a few weeks off to rest and play before getting back to work!

The kids and I are in front of the Metolious River (unbelievably beautiful!). Camp Sherman sits at the head and along the Metolious, where the headwaters spring right out of the ground. I'm always amazed at the things the Creator has made just for us to enjoy!

Just some more pics of the river. Of course the pictures never do it justice!

Our campsite for the few days we stayed at Camp Sherman.
We'll be back next year!

On one of our hikes, we discover some springs that come right out of the ground and feed into the Metolious River. Just breathtaking!

One of Caitlin's interests is in photography. We got her a cheap digital for her birthday this year and she is becoming a good photographer! (And the digital is easy for us to put on the computer and only print the ones we really want instead of paying for developing! Yea!!) Of course, Luke never minds being the center of each and every photo!
